Matt Scott, our founder and director, established AEG (York) Ltd in 2007, bringing his expertise in agricultural engineering and business knowledge to the forefront. A hands-on leader, Matt is often found working in the thick of it alongside his team, ensuring the company's operations run smoothly and efficiently. His dedication and practical approach continue to drive the business forward. Outside of work, Matt enjoys exploring the great outdoors with his family and three dogs.

Company Secretary

Faye joined us in 2015, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience to our team. As our company secretary, she plays a key role in managing all things financial and is a vital part of our senior management team. Outside of work, Faye enjoys playing netball, spending time with her family, and soaking up the sun on holidays abroad

Transport Manager

Sophie has taken on a vital and demanding role within the family business, expertly managing our transport fleet. She plays a key part in ensuring we remain FORS compliant, dedicating substantial effort to meeting these high standards. With no two days the same, Sophie’s expertise, knowledge, and experience allow her to tackle any challenge that comes her way, keeping our operations running smoothly. When she’s not working, Sophie enjoys spending quality time with friends & riding horses.

Darrell Leadley

Hire & Sales Manager

Darrell joined AEG (York) at the beginning of 2024 to lead our hire and sales divisions. With extensive experience in the hire industry, he has worked with some of the most renowned companies in the field. His professional expertise is unparalleled, and he has hands-on experience with virtually every tool and machine imaginable. As he puts it, “Whatever you want to hire, I’ve hammered, sawed, cut, driven, tracked, lifted, and probably broken it too!”

When he's not at work, you’ll probably find him on his mountain bike, as he loves the outdoors—especially exploring the beautiful landscapes of North Yorkshire. Darrell’s favorite quote is, “Believe you can, and you're halfway there,” which reflects his positive outlook and determination. His passion for the industry and commitment to providing exceptional service make him an invaluable asset to our team.
